Have you studied the Word of God dispensationally? Do a search on Mid-Acts Dispensationalism.. I left the pentecostal church after coming across some teachings on dispensational study, I was amazed at how the Bible opened up and all confusion ceased.. Totally made sense with regard to prophecy, tongues, etc.. I never understood why folks talked in tongues when it wasn't a known language, and the Bible is clear that it is.. I stammered over trying to speak in tongues, it never felt right, always forced, and definitely was not a known language.. And if I did it in my "closet" for my edification, how is that benefiting the nonbeliever?? Why do we need prophecy now when we have the complete Word of God and He is the same yesterday, today and always? I often heard "God is doing a new thing in this season".. Ah, no He isn't, we can't add to scripture.. The Mormons do that, they are constantly receiving knew revelation and adding to their doctrine..

Most if not all questions you posted on this site would be answered from the Word of God, read dispensationally.. A common comment made in folks who read this way is "they found the key to open up their Bible".. Check it out!! :)

I was in the RC/F for 2+decades *I'm alright now thank you for asking* and ALWAYS had difficulty reading the bible.. it just Didn't Make Sense and would actually make me frustrated and unhappy.. naturally, I thought it was because I was slack/didn't believe (enough)/didn't have the picture etc.. despite this, I knew I had a sensible relationship with God regardless of my inability to 'get' what the bible was going on about. Sadly, it is only when our critical thinking (finally) kicks in, or comes back.. and we leave, can we actually be free. If we have the ability to embrace the freedom after all the head messing that went on.

I don't mind a little delve into these sites every now and then. Thanks for this one, it is beautiful and seems at the moment to be non-hysterical! However, I do find way too many hours get spent typing to and fro to people who already have their minds made up. Leave it be people.. God really isn't all that hard. Really :)

Interesting observation. Reminds me of the "Why Won't God Heal Amputees?" website.

Like I've said elsewhere, when ‘answered prayer’ is credited to God, and unanswered prayer to ‘bad faith’ – God always comes out lookin' good and believers get stuck (sometimes in wheelchairs) pondering his baffling ways and false promises.

The Biblical definition of faith is: the substance of things hoped for evidence not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Still, I have no idea how much post-rationalizing it must take to reverse this promise from from Jesus, "ask any thing in My name, and I will do it" (John 14:14) - from the seat of a wheelchair.
